Modernise it without stopping the business.
Old systems that still run the company can be modernised incrementally — strangler pattern, tests around current behaviour first, and releases that keep shipping throughout. A big-bang rewrite is the option that usually fails.
- Tests written around current behaviour before anything changes
- Strangler pattern — replace piece by piece, keep shipping
- Database and dependency upgrades staged, not leapt
- Security vulnerabilities closed early in the sequence
- No feature freeze while modernisation runs
- A costed, sequenced plan before work starts
What we build.
Everything Legacy System Modernisation includes — designed, built and shipped for you.
We write tests around what the system does today — including the quirks the business depends on — before changing anything. That is what makes incremental modernisation safe.
New code takes over route by route behind the existing interface.
The business keeps shipping while modernisation proceeds.
A rewrite discards years of accumulated edge cases and typically overruns badly. We recommend it only when the platform is genuinely dead or unsafe, and we say so plainly.
Known vulnerabilities and unsupported dependencies closed early.
A costed roadmap so you can stop at any point with value banked.

Still unsure? Email contact@scaleus.in — a real human replies inside 4 hours.
Should we just rewrite it?
Usually no. A rewrite throws away every bug fix and edge case the current system has absorbed, and tends to overrun. We recommend rewriting only when the platform is genuinely unsupported or unsafe.
Can we keep releasing features during modernisation?
Yes — that is the point of the strangler approach. A modernisation that requires a feature freeze rarely survives contact with the business.
Can we hire a developer full-time instead of a fixed-price project?
Yes. Dedicated engineers are available monthly, full-time or part-time, with a named developer and direct communication rather than an account manager relay. Most clients start with one fixed-scope build and move to a monthly team once they have seen the work.
How quickly can you start?
Onboarding takes under a day and a first working draft usually lands within two to three days. We keep overlap with US, UK and Australian business hours so you are not waiting a full day for each reply.
How much does this cost?
Most single-scope builds land between $2,500 and $4,000 as a fixed price. Multi-location or heavily integrated work runs $10,000 to $25,000, and a full platform build is $25,000 to $50,000. Once live, managed support is $900 to $1,500 a month. We quote fixed scope so you are not exposed to an open-ended hourly meter.
Who actually does the work?
Our own engineers, not a subcontracted chain. The team has delivered production apps as a Tier 1 delivery partner to a $1.3B-valuation UK app platform serving US and UK SMBs, plus our own products running in 60+ countries. You get named engineers and a direct line to them.
